Charlotte Singles Night (26–49) - Learn to dance together!

This event is for singles of ages 26 to 49: who want to meet real people, face-to-face, in a way that feels natural and fun.

In this instance of our singles series, we're introducing an activity to help folks break the ice: let's learn a new dance together: Bachata!

The first 45 minutes of the event will be a Bachata lesson. There will be frequent rotations between leads and follows. It's a great way to meet people while learning something new and having fun.

Never heard of Bachata? No worries! This is going to be a very beginner friendly class! No prior experience necessary.

After the class, we'll have get to know you prompts at the tables to help folks get to know each other in a casual setting.

• Dress to express – Look nice, feel nice. This isn’t a black-tie gala, but have your outfit say, “I made an effort"

• Get curious – Ask creative questions, share your story, and really listen. You might be surprised what you learn

• Have your intro game ready – Think about what you’d want someone to remember about you

• Relax and have fun – Everyone’s here for the same reason: connection

Safety

• Speak up – If someone says or does something off, let a host know.

• No tolerance for offensive or inappropriate behavior

• Don’t push for digits – If you want to stay in touch, offer your number. Let them decide if the feeling’s mutual. Consent is hot.

We may take some pictures or shoot short videos during the event. By attending, you’re ok us using these for future promos, ads, or social media. If you’d rather not be featured, just let us know—we respect your boundaries.

1. What is the parking situation? There is free covered parking in the immediate area behind the venue.

2. Does the venue have food? Yes, the kitchen stops making food to order by 8pm, but the bodega area has snacks as well.

3. What types of drinks are available for purchase? There is a full bar and it also includes non-alcoholic options like sodas, mocktails and other selections.

4. Is this like speed-dating? No. This event is meant to be different from speed-dating. There are not frequent rotations, but we do encourage participants to move to another group if they want to, so they can meet more people. The groups get to know each other in a casual setup as they tackle activities and conversation prompts

5. What if I'm not the age described in the event? We're planning on hosting other events in the future for different age ranges. Express your interest by clicking on "Notify me" above. In the meantime, please check out our friend-matching events.

6. Do you also host singles events for LGBTQ+ folks? Absolutely! Stay tuned for an LGBTQ+ event in the Fall.
